After 25 years of rug hooking and teaching Karen feels confident that she can help you with any challenges you might bring to class. Bring the projects you want help with as well as any questions about rug hooking you may have.
Although your questions will drive the direction of the class, discussions will range from techniques for hooking from the basics to the advanced, how to design and draw a pattern, hooking backgrounds, and finishing methods.

Karen Kaiser is a Graphic Designer by trade and an artist by birth. After working the graphic design business for 11 years she became a farmer through marriage – running a large fruit and vegetable farm in the summer and exploring art in the winter. She discovered rug hooking in 2001, joined the OHCG, took workshops, and attended the Conferences. In 2009 she opened her own rug hooking shop selling wool, designing and selling patterns, and teaching classes. She became a certified OHCG teacher in 2016.
