FIN AND FEATHERS (AND MORE) WITH A CELTIC TWIST

Tuesday April 6:  Zoom class  7pm – 9pm  

Saturday May 1st in-person 9am – 4pm.

Learn how to hook a Celtic knot – the knots will be embedded in Fin and Feathers.

You will have 5 patterns to choose from including one without an animal.   The patterns will be drawn on backing and delivered to you in the class.  There will be patterns to meet the needs of new rug hookers as well as people who like something more finicky!

This will be a hybrid class with a pre-Conference Zoom to discuss the history of Celtic Knots and how to start colour planning.  You will get to know your knots and be able to come to class with a colour plan and your wool.  There will also be time if you need to buy from vendors on site.   During the class we will learn how to approach the knots, so you don’t get in a tangle!    The knots will be hooked in size 3 and 4.   And, if time permits, we can even take a stab at drawing some knots of our own.

The cost of a pattern is $50.00 and will be hand drawn on a linen backing.  Bring your own hooking supplies and materials to class.

Jennifer Curran is an OHCG and McGown Certified Teacher.  She has been teaching since 2004; teaching many subjects including Orientals, geometrics, Celtic, fine shading, and finishing.  Jennifer teaches both online and in person workshops.
