Where do you teach? Beautiful, bright studio in my North Toronto home.

What do you teach? Beginners, Open classes - all levels, all subjects; Paisley Design, Original Pattern Design.

What is your favourite thing to teach? Pattern design through to completion - personal expression and creativity.

How far are you willing to travel to do a workshop? Toronto and surrounding countryside

What do you like best about teaching? Watching a creative spark ignite in a student, especially when they thought they didn't have one. I recently taught a Paisley Design and Hook class with a large group. In the end, every piece was completely unique and actually bore a strong resemblance to the person who hooked it. Amazing and gratifying!

What is your favourite tip to share with your students? Hook up a sample of the wools you plan to use (especially textures). They can look very different when hooked, so this is a good way to be sure of their value (dark/light).
