Join the OHCG Today!

Join an international network of approximately 1,000 textile artists who share their enthusiasm and experience for the art of traditional rug hooking. New guild members receive a welcome letter with information on hooking schools, events and suppliers. Our newsletter, printed quarterly, keeps everyone current, especially those unable to attend our events. We can also refer new members to a representative in their area or help locate a teacher or group to hook with.

SHOWCASE YOUR WORK

We hold an annual exhibition showcasing the work of our members at the OHCG Annual Meeting and Display held each spring. Members may enter their finished pieces for display and/or competition.

PARTICIPATE IN OHCG EVENTS

Participate in OHCG sponsored events, such as the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild Rug School and various workshops. Learn from the expertise of qualified OHCG teachers and benefit from the knowledge of more senior members.

Pursue certification as an OHCG teacher.

GET THE INSIDE SCOOP

Receive four issues annually of the OHCG Newsletter, which contains articles on individuals and hooking topics, photos of rugs hooked by OHCG members, news of the various Branches and Guilds, coming events and more.

CANADIAN MEMBERSHIP FEES

New members & membership renewal $45.00 (HST included) per calendar year (Jan - Dec)

NON-CANADIAN MEMBERSHIP FEES

New members & membership renewal $60.00 CAD per calendar year (Jan - Dec)

Individuals: Members are not required to belong to an affiliated Branch or Guild. Such members are referred to as ‘Independent’. This provides the opportunity for people in remote areas or under certain circumstances, to enjoy the fellowship of the OHCG as a whole.

Payments may be made independently or collectively through a Branch or Guild.
