OHCG Annual Rug Show

OHCG 2017 Annual Cobourg April 28-30, 2017The OHCG Annual Conference ends with a splendid show of hundreds of rugs, only limited by the size of the venue. These rugs are hooked, in both traditional and modern styles, by a representation of the over 1000 members of the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild, from 66 branches around the province and into Québec. The show is open to the public on Sunday April 30th, from 10am to 3pm, at a charge of $10 per person.

There are 8 categories of rugs: Fine-cut, Wide-cut, Multi-cut (new for 2017), Original, Oriental, Primitive, Pictorial and Alternative Fibres & Techniques. Within the categories, there is an enormous range of ideas, colour palettes and ingenuity. Some hook mostly commercial patterns while others only hook their own designs.
