OHCG PAN AM GAMES 2015 PROJECT

We are pleased and indeed honoured to inform you that the OHCG made a successful proposal to the Ignite Program of the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games, in which a hooked rug is to be presented to each of the forty-one participating countries. This is a part of Community Outreach of the Ignite Program designed to engage local communities in the process and promote a cultural aspect to the games. The goal is to “get the community to the Games and the Games to the community”. Our thanks go to Lorna Atkins for her initiative in suggesting this as a project for the OHCG.

See here for more of the finished rugs and their distribution to PanAm teams
